Signpost Core Service

This is the original Signpost Service. Set up in Jan 2002 and has just completed its first service tender. Currently funded until March 2008, the core service claims to be the most transparent service in Forth Valley.

Support services for partner agencies

In addition to its normal service provision Signpost also offers additional training, treatment and testing services to statutory/non-statutory and private agencies.

Training

Signpost offers training on all aspects of drug use including symptom recognition, harm reduction techniques and current treatments. These can be tailored to suit all aspects of agencies including youth groups, family support and community groups in addition to private and voluntary agencies.

Staff support

In conjunction with its partner agency Staffsafe a full drug policy and spackage can be offered to employers.

These can include all issues from dealing with needles found to legal issues of drugs and employability. Arrangements can be made for comprehensive drug testing using both oral and urine testing.

As with all services these can be tailored to suit individual needs. Information and advice on all aspects of drug use within the work place is also available including treatment options for individual employees.

Non prescribing treatments

Signpost offers access to a wide range of non- prescribing treatments and alternative therapies for both individuals and groups. This includes Acu-detox.
